The Loss Game
The goal of this game is to move the sliders to adjust the parameters $x_1, x_2, x_3$ to minimize an unknown loss function in the smallest possible number of rounds. The loss is depicted by the orange rectangle. For each round of update, you can adjust any number of parameters. Clicking on the button "Compute Loss" effectively applies your update to the next round. You can also observe the relative magnitude and direction of the gradients $\frac{\partial \mathcal{L}}{\partial x_1}, \frac{\partial \mathcal{L}}{\partial x_2}, \frac{\partial \mathcal{L}}{\partial x_3}$ after applying the update each round (illustrated by the colors and lengths of the smaller rectangles; red stands for negative, green stands for positive).
